Airport Service Providers

Coverage is provided to those clients who are airport owners or operators and those who provide airport services; such as air traffic control, airline catering, aircraft cleaning, aircraft maintenance and aircraft repair services facilities, aircraft refuelling and ground operators.

The liability of airport service providers is usually divided into three broad categories for insurance purposes, Premises, Hangarkeepers and Products. The insurance policy wording that is available to you, as an airport service provider, will cover all three categories.

We will be happy to provide you with full details of coverage, terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions, upon request.

Premises Liability Insurance

Premises liability insurance will protect you in respect of bodily injury or property damage caused by an occurrence arising in or about any premises used by you in connection with your business as airport service providers, within the Geographical Limits declared to your Insurers.

Insurers will indemnity you in respect of all sums which you shall become legally liable to pay as damages for bodily injury or property damage in connection with your business, providing airport services. Insurers will require a limit to their liability, but this would comply with local law requirements and international requirements. Insurers may also require you to pay a contribution to any claims.

Hangarkeepers Liability Insurance

Hangarkeepers liability insurance covers you in respect of loss of or damage to aircraft or aircraft equipment which you don’t own, rent or lease, while such aircraft or equipment are on the ground and in your care, custody or control or whilst being serviced, handled or maintained by you, in connection with your business as airport service providers, within the Geographical Limits declared to your Insurers. We can also provide coverage for aircraft which you need to test, in-flight, prior to the return of the owner.

Insurers will limit their liability to any one occurrence and it will be subject to any deductible (an amount of money you will contribute to any claim).

Products Liability Insurance

Products liability insurance is usually provided to you, if you are an airport owner or operate and/or if you provide maintenance, service, repair and refuelling facilities and which you might supply aircraft parts at an airport.

Insurers will provide cover in respect of bodily injury or property damage arising out of your possession, use, consumption or handling of any good or products manufactured, designed, constructed, altered, repaired, serviced, treated, sold, supplied or distributed by you, but only in respect of such goods or products which form part of or are used in connection with aircraft and then only after such goods or products have ceased to be in your possession or under your control.

Insurers will limit their liability to any one occurrence.

Insurers may also provide you with one combined single limit for all three categories.
